Doing a music video for a friend that is based on animation and techniques based on animation by manipulating images extracted and then put together again. The image here is part of the video.

Preparing for some animation and video work and have started doing some tests and will be uploading the more interesting ones as they progress...
So this one is made by seperating a video first into photos.
Then sending them through different photo filters and then back into a video editor.
To make this video there is 1001 photos being used.
If you wait untili the end of the video there is a moment where it is possible to see the video un-procesessed and it makes the procesessed one look even better when knowing how crappy the original video looks like!
It is without sound and the painting in the background should be finished together with three other ones in around two three weeks.

Here is in either case my first post talking about Baron Samedi of Vodou fame.
​Started looking into Baron Samedi after being in contact with a developer of apps (For Android he developed Mikrowave and Kosm and for Google Chrome Websid.)and talking about combining forces and do something different as mobile music application and of course something more artistic. Well the first thing we are working on will take up the idea of the Ghede, the dead (more specifically the dead being forgotten, Vodou being deep into ancestral worship it is a important distinction and aspect of the religion)  and the respective Loas where Baron Samedi is the the head honcho.
When starting to look into Vodou was not expecting to go into the dark side quite as fast but after doing some research it is not as dark as can be believed at first. As the Ghede is very life affirming and they do want to participate in our reality as they do think that it is more fun. So one thing that was very nice to read is that a lot of participants in bigger Vodou rituals get excited when there is entities coming/possessing someone as that means party and merry times!
Also being protectors of children and sexuality it does paint a different picture. 
Have not had any deeper connection with the Ghede but it seems that my whole house is filled artsy skulls and death motives since the months that Baron Samedi have been on my mind...
And I did have a workshop for teenagers two weeks ago how to use mobile devices for animation (in all its different flavors...) and one small animation that I finished was this one using an  Android application called Animate Touch.
